During my exchange semester in Denmark, I had the opportunity to kind of travel around Europe, and I plan to document each trip in a journal, detailing the places I visited and the experiences I had.

I’ll start with my favorite city—Paris!

Paris was everything I had imagined and more. It was dreamy, mysterious, and breathtakingly beautiful. From strolling along the Seine, witnessing the grandeur of the Eiffel Tower, to experiencing the magic of Disneyland, every moment felt surreal.

My travel companion and I began our journey by taking a train to Hamburg Airport. Since our trip coincided with the fall break in Denmark, flight prices from Copenhagen were crazily high. After a long and exhausting commute, we finally arrived in Paris around 22:00 on October 13th. The reason why this trip held a special place in my heart is because October 13th happens to be my birthday. Being the hopeless romantic that I am, it felt like I was gifting myself the magic of Paris𓆸

However, we didn’t start exploring Paris until the 14th. We spent the first two days visiting all the famous attractions in Paris, including the Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, and Notre-Dame.

After entering Le Marais, we split up, and I had the chance to visit the Maison de Victor Hugo, the author of the original work for my all-time favorite musical, Les Misérables.

After visiting the Maison de Victor Hugo, I treated myself with a bubble tea and spent the rest of the day shopping and exploring the city on foot. In the evening, we met up and had dinner at a place that served spicy Chinese hot soup. (I can't handle spicy food, I ordered a tomato-flavored one instead.)

It was truly a wonderful experience to see the famous sites with my own eyes and to absorb the city with a nice, long walk. But nothing beats the next day—Disneyland Paris!

We were couch surfing at the time, and the location was perfect. Within ten minutes, we could take the bus to the train station, where a direct train would take us straight to Disneyland.

Disneyland Paris was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we entered the park, it felt like stepping into a magical world. The vibrant colors, enchanting music, and iconic characters brought the fairytales to life in a whole new way. We explored both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, experiencing thrilling rides, spectacular parades, and ending the day with a phenomenal fireworks show. It was the perfect way to cap off our Paris adventure.

On the last day in Paris, we split up again to tackle our own lists. I went to the Musée d'Orsay since it's free for students from the EEA, just like the Louvre Museum. Before that, I visited Shakespeare and Company, but it was raining heavily, so I decided to stay at the museum for the rest of the day. In the evening, we packed up and got ready to head to Amsterdam by FlixBus.

Thanks for reading :)
